Glass Railing Website Design
How I built a portfolio-driven website for a glass railing installer — letting completed projects sell the craftsmanship and generate quote requests.
The Challenge
Pro Glass Plus needed more than an online brochure — they needed a website that works as a sales tool. Like most businesses in the contractors & trades space, their customers research online first and judge credibility in seconds.
What the business needed
- A gallery that shows off finished installations
- Service pages for porches, stairs, and interiors
- Fast quote requests from any device
- Local SEO for railing and glass searches
Short answer
Pro Glass Plus is a contractors & trades business in Ontario. Lead Web Studio designed and hand-coded the site — mobile-first, structured for local search, no template and no page builder. A build of this scope is $899–$2,999 one-time and goes live in 5–7 days once content is ready. The live site is at proglassplus.ca.
Project Galleries That Sell Craftsmanship
High-impact photo galleries put finished railings front and centre. Visitors see the quality before they ever call — and arrive at the quote form already convinced.

Selling work that people judge entirely with their eyes
Stucco, siding, glass and exterior finishes are chosen visually. A homeowner does not read a specification sheet — they look at twenty photos and decide whether your finish looks like the one in their head. So Pro Glass Plus's site is built around the gallery rather than around the copy: large images, honest lighting, and before-and-afters from real streets rather than manufacturer stock.
That makes image engineering the whole job. Modern formats, per-breakpoint sizing, lazy loading below the fold and never letting a hero image block the first paint. Exterior contractors lose more visitors to a slow gallery than to a high quote.
The other half is scope clarity. Exterior work covers wildly different jobs — a full re-clad, a repair, a single railing — and quoting all of them the same way wastes everyone's time. The site separates them so the enquiry arrives already qualified.
Questions about a build like this
How long does a build like this take?+
Around 5 to 7 days of build time. For exterior work the photography sets the real schedule — a strong gallery is worth waiting a few extra days for, because it is what actually sells the job.
What does it cost?+
$899 one-time for up to 10 pages, $1,499 for a larger site with separate service and material pages, $2,999 where quoting tools or e-commerce are involved.
Will a big photo gallery slow the site down?+
Not if it is engineered rather than uploaded. Modern formats, correct sizing at each breakpoint and lazy loading below the fold mean the gallery stays sharp and the page still loads in about a second.
Can you do this for my exterior or finishing business?+
Yes. Send me what you have now and you will get a fixed quote back the same or next business day.
