Why migrate your website at all?
Most businesses migrate for one of three reasons: their site is painfully slow, they're tired of paying a builder every single month, or they want to finally own their site instead of renting it. A clean, custom-coded rebuild fixes all three — faster load times, no monthly platform fees, and full ownership of your domain, hosting and files.
The part everyone worries about is Google. Move a site the wrong way and you can wipe out years of rankings overnight. I handle it properly: every old URL gets a 301 redirect to its new home, so Google (and your customers) follow you seamlessly. WordPress → hand-coded: 253 ms down to 88 ms
This very site used to run on a slow, plugin-heavy WordPress build. On July 7 I rebuilt it from scratch in clean code — and Google's own Search Console recorded the difference: my server response time dropped from a shaky ~250 ms (spiking past 1,200 ms) to a flat 88 ms, and the server errors it used to throw disappeared completely.
A faster, more reliable site is easier for Google to crawl and rank — and it keeps visitors from leaving. If I recommend it strongly, it's because I ran the experiment on myself.

Will I lose my Google rankings when I migrate?+
No — that's the whole point of doing it properly. Every old URL gets a 301 redirect to its new page, so Google carries your rankings and links over to the new site. Done right, migration protects your SEO rather than risking it.
Can you migrate my WordPress site to custom code?+
