What the law asks of a signature like this
- The tool places an image of your signature on the PDF. The result is the same as printing the page, signing it by hand and scanning it back. It is meant for everyday paperwork you sign yourself.
- When a law, lender, court, insurer or regulator asks for a certified electronic signature, they mean one with identity verification, an audit trail, a tamper-evident certificate and a trusted timestamp. For those, use a certified provider such as DocuSign or Adobe Sign.

Is my document uploaded anywhere?
No. Your PDFs are opened, displayed and re-saved inside your browser with JavaScript. Nothing is sent to a server, so nobody can see them, me included. That is also why the tool keeps working if your internet drops after the page has loaded.
Can I sign several documents at once?
Yes. Drop as many PDFs as you like and they appear as tabs above the preview. Tick "Put it on every document" and one click places your signature in the same spot on all of them. The download comes back as a single ZIP archive.
Can I sign a scanned document?
Yes. A scan is still a PDF, so it opens and signs the same way. The signature is placed on top of the scanned image.
Is there a limit?
None. Sign as many documents as you like, free, with no watermark and no signup. Very large PDFs take a moment longer to display, because your own device does the work.
How does the typed signature work?
You type your name and pick one of four handwriting fonts. The result is drawn as a sharp, high-resolution image and placed on the page. The fonts are stored on this website, so nothing is requested from Google or any other service while you sign.
Is this signature legally binding?
It is an image of your signature placed on the page, like printing, signing and scanning. Many everyday documents are signed this way. Where a law, lender, court or insurer requires a certified electronic signature with an identity check and an audit trail, use a certified provider such as DocuSign or Adobe Sign.
