Medical clinic websites that answer a patient's first questions

I build sites for Ontario clinics and health practices at a fixed price, with every page checked against the CPSO advertising policy before it goes to you for approval.

Where a patient finds each answer on the first screen

Someone looking for a clinic is usually worried and reads on a phone. These are the five things they check before calling, and where each one sits on a site I built.

First screen of a diabetes consultation website with the doctor's name, phone, email, menu and a headline about online consultations
The first screen of the diabetes consultant's site. It is in Russian because the patients it serves speak Russian.
Who is the doctor?
Name, specialty and the Canadian diabetes educator certification, right under the headline.
How do I reach them?
Phone and email at the top, plus a call button that stays in the corner.
Can I be seen from home?
The headline says the consultations happen online.
What do they treat?
Services, the doctor's articles and patient information each have a menu item.
How long have they done this?
Years of experience with diabetes and prediabetes, in the first card below.

What the CPSO policy lets a physician's website say

In Ontario a clinic website counts as advertising. Provision 1 of the CPSO Advertising policy makes the physician answerable for an ad someone else wrote, so I build each page to these provisions.

ProvisionWhat it coversOn the clinic site
2accurate and factualWhat is treated, who treats it, hours, the address and how to book, in plain words.
3no testimonialPatient quotes stay off the site. It links to the clinic's Google profile instead.
3no comparing with other physiciansNo "best clinic" lines and no promise of a better service than anyone else's.
3no specific drug, appliance or equipmentTreatments are described by what they do, without brand names of drugs or devices.
4-6before and after photosOnly behind a click, of a de-identified patient who gave express consent for that use.
11titles and specialtiesEach doctor's name carries the title or specialty the General Regulation allows.

Dentists, physiotherapists and chiropractors answer to their own colleges. Their rules are on my pages for dental clinic websites, physiotherapy clinic websites and chiropractic websites.

What happens to what a patient types

The request form is where a patient tells a stranger about their health. This is how I set it up on a clinic site.

No tracking on the form
Analytics and ad tags never run on the request form, so nothing a patient types reaches Google or Facebook.
Works without a mouse
Every field has a visible label and can be filled with a keyboard or a screen reader.
Readable for older patients
Contrast and text size are checked against WCAG 2.0 AA, the level Ontario's AODA sets for larger organizations. More on accessibility compliance.
Psychotherapy practice home page with a headline about burnout, a registration line and a button to book a free 15-minute consultation
The psychotherapy site: one green button opens a free 15-minute consultation request.

"I highly recommend LEAD Web Studio, and especially Liubomyr. He is extremely responsible, honest, professional, and always delivers his work on time. Thanks to his expertise, we achieved excellent results with our website, Google Maps, and online promotion. What I appreciate most is knowing that I can count on him, even when a difficult or urgent situation comes up. LEAD Web Studio is a team I would gladly work with again and confidently recommend to others."

"There are people who simply do their job. And there are people who put their soul into it. From the first conversation to the completion of the work, I felt that I was dealing with people who truly love their job. Every detail was thought out, every issue was resolved quickly, and the result exceeded my expectations."

Online booking, custom intake forms and schema markup on every page so Google reads each service.

What clinic owners ask before they hire me

How much of the doctor's time does the website take?+

A free 20-minute call to start, then one read of the clinical text before launch. I write the pages from your services and existing materials, and the practitioner corrects anything clinical.

Can my clinic website show patient reviews?+

Provision 3 of the CPSO Advertising policy bars testimonials in a physician's advertising, and the website counts. I link to your Google profile, where patients post reviews themselves.

Can patients book appointments online?+

Every package has a request form that emails the clinic. Online booking is part of the $2,999 package.

How long does a clinic website take?+

5 to 7 days once the practitioner has approved the clinical text. That review round is the step that sets the date.

How much does a medical clinic website cost?+

$899 for up to 10 pages, $1,499 for up to 20 pages with practitioner profiles and a blog, and $2,999 for unlimited pages with booking. All one-time, with the price fixed in writing first.

Do you work with clinics outside Toronto?+

Yes. I meet clinics across the GTA in person and work with practices elsewhere in Ontario by video call. Toronto clinics have their own page on medical clinic web design in Toronto.
