Soccer academy websites that start with a birth year

A parent wants to know which group fits their child, where it trains and when it starts. I design and hand-code sites for Ontario academies and youth clubs that answer all three on a phone. The price is $899, $1,499 or $2,999, paid once and agreed in writing.

A few of the businesses I've built for

The site I built for an academy in Etobicoke

It trains kids at several locations around Toronto and the GTA, so parents come looking for a nearby field and a time that works.

First screen of a youth soccer academy website: a boy holding a ball in a stadium, with menu links for Locations and Schedule and a Join Our School button
Locations and Schedule sit in the top menu. The join button shows twice before anyone scrolls.
Second section of the academy website: four figures about coaches and locations, and a photo of a young team holding a league champions banner
Next come the coaches' licences, the number of locations and a real photo of a team with its banner.

Read how that academy's site was built, or read about clubs in that part of the city on my Etobicoke soccer academy page.

A team sheet for a ten-page site

This line-up fits the $899 plan. Yours will have different names on it.

A parent reads one line of a programs list, their own. When that line has a page, it can give the full answer and appear in a search for it.

Those pages need steady work to climb, and my monthly SEO service is there if you want it done for you.

  1. 1Home: the birth-year choice, then your next start date
  2. 2U8 and under: first-timers, what to bring, how long a session runs
  3. 3U9 to U12: development groups, days, fee
  4. 4Competitive teams: tryout dates and how selection works
  5. 5Goalkeepers: who coaches them and when
  6. 6Camps: March break and summer weeks, with the hours
  7. 7Coaches: faces, licences, who works with which age
  8. 8Fields and gyms: cross-streets, parking, which door
  9. 9Schedule: one table a parent can read at the side of a pitch
  10. 10Register or book a trial: the form, short enough for a phone

What Rowan's Law asks of a club's sign-up

Ontario's concussion law reaches the registration form. A sport organization must not register an athlete under 26 until the athlete, and the parent of anyone under 18, confirm they've reviewed the awareness material.

What Ontario requiresWhere I put it on your site
A Concussion Awareness Resource reviewed within the previous twelve monthsA required tick box on the form, with a link to Ontario's resources
Your Concussion Code of Conduct reviewed every year before registeringIts own short page, and a second tick box
A removal-from-sport and return-to-sport protocolA page parents and coaches can open from the coaches' page

On the form, a sample

I have reviewed a Concussion Awareness Resource in the past 12 months.
I have reviewed the academy's Concussion Code of Conduct this year.
Each sign-up reaches you with both answers on it.

Source: Ontario's Rowan's Law page for sport organizations, which also has sample templates. How the regulation applies to your academy is for you and your league to confirm.

Three plans, by how parents sign up

If you already pay for registration software, keep it. Every program page can send parents straight to the right form there.

PlanPagesHow the sign-up worksOne payment
StartupUp to 10A contact form takes the trial request or a link goes to your software. Google Maps is built in.$899
GrowthUp to 20Room for a page per field, plus a news section for rained-out sessions. I train your staff to manage the site.$1,499
EnterpriseUnlimitedCustom forms, and the site comes ready for booking or for taking fees online.$2,999

Once the site is up, your only yearly bill is the domain and hosting, roughly $100 to $200. See the full plan lists.

Other sites where people book from a phone

"Thank you very much! Liubomyr not only created a website for my wife, but also gave me a free 2-hour consultation and showed me how to use Google Maps, how to reply to reviews, and explained Google's policies. You are the best!"

What club directors ask me

Running adult programs too? Those work more like my fitness studio websites, with a schedule, a price and a contract.

What goes on a program page?

The birth years it takes, the day and time, the field with cross-streets, the start date, the fee and one button to register or book a trial.

Can the site work with the registration software we already use?

Yes. Each program page can send parents directly to the right form in your system, so rosters and payments stay where they are.

Can parents pay the season fee on the site?

Yes, on the $2,999 plan, which comes ready for online payments. On the other two plans the form takes the sign-up, and you collect the fee your usual way or through your software.

How close to registration can we start?

Most sites go live 5 to 7 days after I have your text and photos. Schedules, field names and coach bios tend to take the longest, so start gathering them before you announce dates.

Who changes the schedule when a field closes?

Tell me who it will be when you ask for a quote, and I'll plan the schedule page around them. The Growth plan includes a training session for managing the site.

Will parents find us when they search for soccer near them?

Every plan includes on-page SEO, and a page per field gives Google a clear address to match. Setting up your Google Maps profile is a separate service, and I quote it before you commit.

Can we show photos of the kids?

Send me photos that parents have agreed to have published, and I'll use them large. Team shots with a banner work well, and I leave children's names off the page.

Tell me about your academy

List your programs and where you train. I'll send back a number, in writing, before any work starts.
